Does Olympus die hard

"When our flag falls, our nation shall rise"
 Olympus Has Fallen
Olympus has fallen, a movie directed by Antoine Fuqua however it seems like to the public that all that this movie has brought to the table is another die hard film, but inside the White House instead. The movie plot is so, the president ( Aaron Eckhart) and his wife are on their way to a charity party when an accident occurs, and Mike Banning (Gerald Butler), the presidents guard fails to save his wife. Almost 18 months later   the president meets with some important South Korean officials to discuss tensions occurring between north and south korea, while Mike is working for the presidents treasury, however the discussion is cut short as the White house  is attacked, and the president is brought to a safe underground bunker with the south korean officials while the assault just outside  is occurring. The president is then captured by who he had believed to be his allies, the fake south korean officials . Now the president, and his staff are held hostage ,and Mike is the only one left to save the president and his country. The movie was released on March 22, 2013 and is rated mature (R). The movie seems to go well at times with some realistic feel at times, however it strains from that path to simply everything pretty much blowing up. However, Gerald Butler does play his role int he movie well always being the kind of dude that kicks but and gets the job done. One interesting things about this movie is that of the realism of the tensions between north and south korea. All in all this movie could go either way being at about the  midpoint. The review webpage called, "rotten tomatoes" gave the movie a 49% sating that it had little originality to it which can be considered true since a similar movie was also released in the same month of this movie, but the audience review was a decent 79%. So to some it up Olympus has fallen is a movie that does amazing in some aspects, but poor in others and if your that is a kind of person that prefers a nonfiction movie to a fiction movie then this would be a movie that probably wouldn't  interest you all that much.

50th anniversary of 007

Skyfall
He's back and in this 50th year anniversary special, director Sam Mandes decides to take a different view in this movie. In this movie just like in Quantum of Solace, and Casino Royale, Daniel Craig plays special agent 007 incredibly. The plot of this story follows so, James bond and Eve, played by Naomie Harris, are chasing down a mercenary who has obtained a data file with a list of all undercover agents in terrorist groups,  however bond ends up shot and supposedly dead and the mercenary fled with the data file. Now someone has the list and will stop at nothing to make the british secret  service and more importantly M,(leader of the british secret service, played by Judi Dench)pay for their sins. Now its bond's job to not only track down this mysterious foe and stop him from achieving his revenge , but also rise back up to his former pros in glory. The movies release date in the United States was November 9, 2012, but has left the big and now taken to the little screen of your living room and is currently available on Blu-ray and DVD. An interesting fact to this movie is that not only is it a movie title, but also a song title by Adele, and is the intro music to the movie also. The movie of course doesn't  lack the most important james bond feature that all others obtain, his charm. On terms of review the website Rotten Tomatoes gives the movie a 92% rating for critics, and the audience have given it a 88%  . In short this movie introduces a variety of new aspects of bond as well as his old classic aspects at the same time, and the movie does a extraordinary thing that only a hand full of movies like this kind does, it connects to some of it's previous movies to make it seem like the events in that event actually took place and caused a ripple effect to the future bond movies such as this one. Based off of my opinion this movie is top bar and deserves high praise to the James bond name and would definitely suggest that even if you aren't a bond fan that you at least go rent this and see what all the talk is about on the next great bond movie that is truly keeping bonds name true to its original ways.

It's not about the money

"It's not about the money"
Its the principle
The story is about a thief with a unique code of professional ethic is double crossed by his crew and left for dead. Assuming a new disguise and forming an unlikely alliance with a women on the inside, to hijack the score of the crew's latest heist. The movie is based of a book  written by Richard Stark, directed by Taylor Hackford, and was released in America on January 25, 2013. The role of parker is played by Jason Statham, and playing the role of Leslie Rodgers (or the women on the inside) by Jennifer Lopez. The movie is rated R. From what I think of the movie it does portray a unique yet at times unsatisfactory protagonist who's role is  a thief out for revenge by planning on stealing from his former associates that plan on a new 2 million dollar heist. However, as mentioned in the headings and caption under the photograph that makes this stories plot for revenge so unique, that it is not because of the deed of not paying him, but because he has a ethic to never compromise or fall short on agreements, so to put it simply it had little to do with the money but the fact that they chose not to pay him breaking one of his codes. For review's sake the website rotten tomatoes gives it a 38 % for critics, however  the public gives it a 63 % so a movie that is not terrible but wont likely make it onto the chances of winning a Oscar award. An interesting rummer to all of this is that it's believed that this is only one of a series of movies to come out in the future, however realize that this is only a rummer nothing has been released officially ass of right now. For those of you that are uncertain of whether or not it's worth going to spend the time and money to go check out this move, it will be based off of your own opinion to decide it has a interesting and unique moral to it but can have a negative effect on how people can view humanity and one another. Thank you for taking the time to look through my review/ blog on Parker currently still in theaters.

RED DAWN

Going out guns blazing
The stellar action packed movie based sequel to the first one that was released in the year 1984. Directed by Dan Bradley, this movie stays to the roots of the original movie in 1984. One average day the russian, and Korean armies invade The Midwest area of the United States. Unwilling to go without a fight, Jed Eckert, played by Chris Hernsworth, and Matt Eckert , who plays the role of Josh Peck, and many others. They do their best not only to remain hidden and survive this hostile invasion, but to also defeat the invaders out of their home. Henceforth nicknaming themselves the wolverines. The release date of the movie is November 21, 2012, and the length of the movie is 114 minutes or about 2 hours. The movie is rated PG-13, and made about 65 million dollars. Quite frankly I went to see this movie and though it was incredible, and although I was unable to see the original movie released in !984 I can quite easily say that that this movie stays to the roots of the original the one main difference between the two movies is that the original movies the invaders were chinese, while in this movie the invaders are North Korean. The one possible flaw with this movie is that some criticize how it makes all but white's either evil, or weak. However, all in all I would have to say that this movie would have been worth seeing in theaters, and would be a good movie to buy, or rent when it comes out on DVD unless you don't have interest in action movies of course. Based on my opinion I would have to say that it deserves a 7.5 out of 10, the only reason being that it had a poor ending and a somewhat racist view in some ways against plenty of other races. This blog will be for my opinion and/ or review of movies out recently or coming soon.
